Music is the medium through which the soul and spirit reach out to God in worship and praise. The mission of the GBT Music Ministry is to set and maintain an atmosphere which invites and promotes worship through dance, praise, worship and devotion. Our music ministry is for the purpose of proclaiming “the Gospel of Jesus Christ” through music and dance while ushering the congregation into a spirit of worship that transcends age, cultural diversity and preference into a unified response to God.
“It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.” – 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 (KJV)
We strive to be thoroughly prepared by practicing on a weekly basis, while training and teaching those with God-given talents and abilities to develop a ministry mindset in regards to their music. Colossians 3:16 — “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
We have a very active and vibrant music ministry that is united with our pastor to accomplish his vision and the will of the Lord for this local assembly, and in our community. Through their dedication, our musicians and singers come together every worship service to lead the church in worship and praise. The music ministry is comprised of song writers, singers, directors, liturgical dancers, mimes, producers, and musicians. We encourage you to join us! Understanding that anointed music is a way to soften and prepare the heart for God’s Word, we offer the opportunity for the congregation to participate in vertical worship to God with a blend of contemporary music and traditional hymns, while ushering the congregation into a spirit of worship that transcends age, cultural diversity and preference into a unified response to God.
“Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” – Psalm 150:1-6
The Lord is doing a GREAT work, and as we praise the Lord together, our blessings will continue to come! Experience the move of God in the santuary when the Greater Beth-el Choir, Musicians, and Praise Team raise their voices and instruments of praise in honor of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We invite you, your family, and love ones to come and share memorable moments with us on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. May God bless you all real good!
